A ‘Service Safari’ is a method for looking at the world with fresh eyes. Our participants were tasked various challenges, some disrupting their own routines, some asking them to walk in others shoes - from finding a healthy snack for two toddlers with less than a £1 in their pocket to walking a ‘daily mile’. They spent 45 minutes in groups exploring the city of Dundee - observing how the environment of the city offers opportunities and barriers for making healthy choices. The safari highlighted how difficult it is for people, especially those with the least resources, to make healthy choices. Below is feedback on their specific tasks.
